THE CUB SECTION

For Cubs, excitement and adventure are key. Their programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; whilst allowing them to be creative and get involved in their local communities. Cubs are introduced to exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences.
The Cub Scouts are for young people aged between 8 and 10½ years. The 6th Northwood Pack meets on a Monday.

Upcoming events

Cub Scouts get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as going on trips, days out, and on camps.

Our Pack run a full programme each academic term with camps and events spread throughout.

Badges & Awards

Cub Scouts have plenty of opportunities to grow, learn, and celebrate their achievements. For those who want to aim high, the Chief Scout’s Silver Award is the top award a Cub can achieve — but it’s not compulsory.

Along the way, there’s a wide range of badges and challenge awards to earn:

  • Activity Badges allow Cubs to develop their existing skills, explore new hobbies, and discover fresh interests.

  • Challenge Badges involve taking on bigger, more ambitious tasks within the Pack or the wider community.

Through these activities, Cub Scouts not only collect badges — they gain confidence, build friendships, and develop skills for life.
